J.J. BARNES Please Let Me In (Ric-Tic)
After ‘Agent Double-O-Soul’, this was the second Ric-Tic I got my hands on. Perfect Detroit sound – timeless.

4 PROS Just Another Girl (Carla)
Great dancer, great hook line.

JOE WEAVER & THE DON JUANS Baby I love you so (Fortune)
Early Detroit. Loved the Fortune sound and was lucky enough to see Joe perform this at the Bluesestafette in Utrecht a few years ago (along with Stanley Mitchell and Kenny Martin).

FALCONS I Found a Love (Lupine)
Bit later this one but a seminal sound in the development of soul. We all know the famous names that came out of this group.

DARRELL BANKS Open The Door To Your Heart (Revilot)
What else can be said about this record. Pure class. A cliche but I genuinely never tire of hearing it.
